Haagse Popweek X Synergy Sessions | 20 oktober

Synergy Sessions: sessions aiming to push the boundaries of the improvisation scene in The Hague.

Het Koorenhuis, ProJazz and the Royal Conservatoire are coming together to bring you a new session format, welcoming artists from different disciplines and art forms to widen the view of what improvised creation can look and sound like.

At each session there will be an opener and a theme of the evening, guiding each event in a unique direction.

We would like to invite you to Synergy Sessions that will take place on Thursday October 20th. The theme of the evening is ‘The Processed Voice’.

“The two jazz-vocalists Annija Krivjonoka and Giulia Bättig are teaming up with two sonologists from the Royal Conservatoire in Den Haag. Seraina Fässler and Otso Aho will process the two voices live, and morph them into unknown sounds, while soundscapes and chords textures are accompanying these voice-experiments. After this opening set, everyone is invited to take their instruments and voices and try out to play songs and improvisations whilst some instruments and voices will be processed live.”

Synergy Sessions is an evening where everyone can bring their instruments, and we can try out different ways to process them electronically, and we encourage people to bring their own processing equipment if they like.
